Located conveniently in the heart of Cairns City, Danny West Automotive is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. We offer a complete range of car servicing, maintenance, and repair services to suit most vehicle types. When you choose us, you’ll know we will look after your vehicle and there will be no costly surprises.
SERVICING
We are an MTAQ* approved repairer - which means we can service NEW vehicles and no voiding of your new car warranty! We service all makes and models, new and used cars, 4WDs, light trucks, trailers, commercial and fleet vehicles.
REPAIRS
All makes and models. From window motors, to engine swaps. We'll get you back on the road as quickly and affordably as possible.
DIAGNOSTICS
Using the latest diagnostic equipment, we can identify the cause of those mystery warning lights. Find out what's wrong and what needs to be done.
RWC / SAFETY CERTIFICATES
We are a Department of Transport approved Inspection Station (AIS) providing Safety Certificate inspections on light vehicles, trailers, and booked hire vehicles.
PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTIONS
Let our team inspect the car so you have peace of mind when purchasing a used car to avoid any costly surprises and help you negotiate confidently.
COI INSPECTIONS
We are a Department of Transport approved Inspection Station (AIS) for all booked hire vehicles (UBER etc). We'll work to your schedule while you wait.
BATTERY TESTING & NEW BATTERIES
We can check your battery health, fit and replace new batteries (with a 3-year warranty).
FUEL SYSTEMS
We offer complete fuel system servicing to improve fuel efficiency and overall engine performance.
WRONG FUEL RECOVERY
Don't worry! This happens more than you think. Our team will drain and flush the system, refuel and retest to get you back on the road.
WHEELS, TYRES & ALIGNMENTS
Your safety is important to us. We offer a one-stop shop: we supply and fit tyres, wheel alignments, and fix punctures.
CLUTCH & GEARBOXES

Had a broken locking system for the rear door of my wagon which had been looked at by a different mechanic and was told I'd need a whole new unit. That mechanic then didn't want to try and fix it. Took my car to Danny West and they had a look and without hesitation started taking it apart to investigate the issue and after about 45mins it was working better than ever!
